Champions in Service (CIS) provides accessible and meaningful community service opportunities for youth and adults who need to complete court-ordered, school-required, or volunteer service hours.
What We Do
Our goal is to remove barriers, support accountability, and create a positive, supportive pathway for individuals working to meet legal, educational, or personal requirements.
Participants are supported by CIS staff and placed in service activities that are structured, supervised, and aligned with community needs. These opportunities allow individuals to complete required hours while contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.
- Community service activities may include:
- Watering plants and maintaining garden areas
- Cleaning animal enclosures
- Feeding and watering chickens and rabbits
- Cleaning outdoor spaces
- Emptying indoor trash cans
- Light office tasks such as shredding paper
- Assisting with community events and outreach activities (as available)
Our Approach
Community service can be a critical step toward accountability, healing, and reintegration. CIS offers these opportunities to:
- Help individuals fulfill court or school requirements in a supportive setting
- Reduce barriers to completing required service hours
- Encourage positive community engagement and responsibility
- Provide structure and guidance for those working toward compliance and personal growth
By making service accessible and meaningful, CIS helps participants move forward while giving back to their community.
