Compassionate, trauma-informed mental health support that helps individuals heal, build resilience, and thrive.
At Champions In Service (CIS), we believe everyone deserves support, understanding, and a safe place to talk. Our Mental Health Services provide a supportive space for individuals to work through life’s challenges while building confidence, healing, and hope for the future.
These services are available to individuals enrolled in CIS programs who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or other emotional challenges that impact daily life and overall well-being.
Our Approach
We meet participants where they are—with respect, compassion, and without judgment. Using a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach, our team takes the time to listen, understand individual needs, and walk alongside participants on their journey.
CIS is committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment where individuals can heal, grow, and build a stronger future. We are here to help participants take meaningful steps toward feeling better and achieving their goals—one day at a time.
What We Do
- One-on-One Counseling Participants receive private, individualized support through one-on-one counseling provided by trained mental health professionals and supervised in-training interns. All services are delivered under appropriate clinical oversight and focus on stress management, trauma healing, coping skills, and personal growth.
- Crisis Support During difficult moments, CIS provides short-term crisis support and connects participants with appropriate resources to promote safety and stability.
- Whole-Person Support Mental health care is integrated with our broader services—including mentorship, reentry support, employment services, and youth development—to ensure comprehensive, well-rounded support.
If you are enrolled in a CIS program and would like mental health support, reach out to your case manager or CIS staff member to learn more about available services.
