Empowering participants to make positive choices.
Community Violence Intervention (CVI) is dedicated to reducing violence and promoting safety in neighborhoods most affected by violence. We work directly with individuals at risk of involvement in violent incidents, helping them navigate challenges, develop life skills, and connect with supportive resources.
Our Approach
Violence affects individuals, families, and entire communities. By intervening early and providing trauma-informed, supportive services, CVI empowers participants to make positive choices, break cycles of violence, and contribute to safer, stronger communities.
What We Do:
- Crisis Response: Provide immediate support and guidance during or after violent incidents to prevent escalation and rumor control
- Conflict Mediation: Facilitate conversations between individuals and groups to resolve disputes peacefully
- Personalized Mentorship & Support: Build trust, offer guidance, and develop strategies for personal growth
- Life-Skills Development: Help participants strengthen decision-making, communication, and coping skills
- Collaboration: Partner with community organizations, law enforcement, schools, and faith-based groups to ensure holistic, culturally responsive support
